Here’s what is in the way of you creating something new and inspiring- YOU and your resistance!

OUR focus this month: Becoming intimately aware of our resistance.

The root of all resistance is FEAR. Yep, that ugly feeling we don’t like to identify or deal with- FEAR.

So this month, let’s take on your fear. Let’s look at it, examine it and become so comfortable with it, that we learn to love our fear. Love our fear for all that it provides us. Our fear keeps us safe and helps us to ask questions when we are unsure. BUT, it also keeps us from playing full out and creating what we desire. So let’s begin to distinguish our healthy fear from the fear that is just a defense mechanism or old pattern of reacting.

This month, Identify an area of your life that causes you stress, uncertainty, worry or fear. And ask yourself,

“What do I most fear becoming or not becoming in this part of my life?”

“What am I often reacting to, denying or avoiding in this part of my life?”

“What do I most want in this part of my life that I’m afraid to create or most importantly, commit to?”

AND finally,

“What is the fear that is most holding me back?” Maybe it’s fear that “you’re not good enough”, “you won’t amount to anything”, “it’s too late for you”. Or maybe your fear sounds like, “I don’t know”, “I’m not smart enough”, “I can’t do that”.

Spend the next 7 days writing a journal each day about how your fears show up – what they look like and what they cause you to do or what they keep you from doing. Our goal is to be completely conscious of our fear and allow it to “be”, instead of pushing it down deep beneath the surface, where ultimately it has the most power and control over us and our lives.
